As a marine biologist and mother, I often seek out family-friendly destinations that celebrate both relaxation and engagement for my two children, ages 7 and 16. This past holiday at Alone Hotel in Benidorm provided just that-a welcoming space where my kids could thrive alongside others their age. The hotel's impressive amenities, such as a spacious pool area featuring a water slide and a dedicated children's playground, ensured that my younger child was always entertained. Meanwhile, the evening entertainment was a pleasant blend of games and family-oriented activities-even if they often required a bit of Spanish comprehension. We enjoyed the hotel's half-board option; the food met our needs without extravagant expectations. While the nearby beaches, like Finestrat, were a 10-minute walk away, they made for great outings after an energetic day at the hotel. We found the location convenient, being just 20 minutes from central Benidorm by bus, with opportunities for shopping nearby.
